Trying to determine if I want to renew Mobile Me for another year.  

 I have an iPhone and enjoy the  sync / pushing, I know I can get that elsewhere but it would require effort. I would like to start writing a real blog and make it look like I want. But the hosting on the MobileMe kinda blows.

George Brett was the best hitter of my lifetime, and one of my all time favorite characters.  This video will probably piss him off, but it actually raises his stock in my opinion.  We have all been there George!

Some Choice

We were at B&N today and I saw this table of books that were relevant to the 2008 campaign. Relevant maybe, but sure as hell not complete. According to the sign, the Choice was mine. I could choose from Several Obama bios, Micheal Moore’s 2008 election guide or Joe Biden’s new book. Also included were some get out of Iraq books.
The visit was kicked off as I heard some people discussing books. One of them said ” The Audacity of Hope? Thats just a book of lies about Senator Obama. He WANTS hope.”

Wow. I really didn’t think I would have waited this long. But , the WordPress app for iPhone kinda sucks and, I guess I am a bit less inclined than I thought to write.

Vacation 2008

WordPress has a new app for posting blog entries. Why doesn’t Apple have one for iWeb Blogs?

The other night my wife and I were talking about Haiku. She told me that she won several awards as a child for writing Haiku, limericks, ballads, sonnets, all that shit. She is awesome.
Anyway I told her that Haiku gave me particular problems as I was never able to grasp the concept of syllables. It is on account of my name. Kar-l or is it Karl?
Anyway, in the second grade, my teacher, Ms. Conn, had us sit in a circle. We went around and said everyone’s name and clapped on each syllable. When it was my turn, chaos ensued. Claps were disjointed and out of sync. It was kind of scary.

As my wife and I are prone to do, we wrote a Haiku about the experience. It goes a little something like this:

my childhood was fucked
karl is just one syllable
i thought it is was two

Wow, I haven’t posted in a week. I suck! This absence is probably the reason my hit count is for crap. Yeah, that’s it.

So last Friday, July 11, 2008, I waited in line for iPhone 3G for NINE FUCKING HOURS!

Of course, I wouldn’t have had to if the AT&T store in Frederick had any concept of inventory management, but what are your going to do.

My initial impressions are very positive, save for the battery life, which completely blows ass.

The line waiting did make me somewhat of a celebrity, even more than this lame-assed blog has.

Well one of the reasons I started this lame-assed Blog is because I am getting iPhone 3G (lack of article is intentional , see my twitters).  One of the new apps I am looking for is to be able to post to my .mac  page (soon to be me.com) and use iWeb to create a COOL looking blog there.  Then I will have HITS and comments, and page view and  ad revenue  and the Internet will LOVE me! 

  Until then, I plug away at wordpress.com with my lame-assed theme, with my stupid blog title.

My wife and I love hummingbirds. I am fanatical about making my own nectar and keeping the birds feeders full. Last night as we sat around enjoying the long weekend with some beers, we began naming our the birds that showed up. The first female we saw : “Muriel Hummingway” . First Male ” Humm-phrey Bogart” .
We then started a list of things in the Hummingbird world:
Favorite Party spread : Hummus
Favorite SUV : Hummer
Favorite sandwich : Humm & Cheese
Favorite dairy product : Humm-ogonized milk
All time favorite sit-com: Seinfeld (no surprise here, that’s everyone’s favorite sit-com)
